Provenance
Where the data comes from, and how fresh it is
Automatic sources are read by a daily job (launches hourly) and never by a person. Editorial records change only when someone reviews them against primary sources, so their date can be much older than the data around them; that is deliberate.

How to read the status
- Fresh — The latest check is within the schedule’s allowance: 3 hours for hourly sources, 30 hours for daily sources, or 8 days for weekly sources.
- Behind — The latest check is overdue, but no more than twice the schedule’s allowance.
- Stale — The latest check is more than twice the schedule’s allowance old.
- Held — The editorial pipeline is on hold. Existing reviewed content is retained.
- Unknown — No check or download date is available, so freshness cannot be determined.
- By hand — Updated manually. The date shows when a person last changed the records.
- With release — Bundled with the site and updated when a new version is released.
A missed run keeps the previous file, so the site never shows a half-updated feed.
